We brought programming to the City of Dayton’s Northwest Recreation Center’s Summer Camp during Energy week! We attended all five days of the week for an hour each day (and two hours on Friday). Students aged 5-12 did various activities including sketching, block building, shoebox room designs, stations with architectural games, solar ovens, and story times. We were fortunate to have many volunteers join us including planners from the City of Dayton Planning Department, Yetunde Rodriguez (artist), local architects, Sinclair architecture and interior design students, and high school students.
We did a one-hour long drop-in workshop with stations during Spanish Camp. We were thrilled to have two architects originally from Spanish-speaking countries join us and two bilingual students from Sinclair as well!
